Annie Schlax

Annie Schlax, Executive Producer of Tir na nOg Productions has three decades of international television and film production experience. She is a member of the prestigious Producers Guild of America and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Her expertise is television, film, video and multimedia production. With numerous years of experience in the entertainment industry, she has worked on a variety of projects shot in the United States and internationally in such places as Belize, Costa Rica, South Africa, Abu Dhabi, and throughout Europe.  

Her experience includes the production of reality based, non-scripted lifestyle television programs for Discovery, HGTV, DIY, The Food Network, Travel Channel and The Weather Channel, as well as, the production of independent films, music videos, multimedia, advertisements and web-based media. In 2015 Schlax won two Telly Awards for producing the television ad, “Upping the Ante, Up the Hill”. Schlax says her “claim to fame” is having worked on Nirvana’s Heart Shaped Box.

 After completing the production of the 10th Season of the Food Network’s hit show, Unwrapped, and five seasons of DIY’s Rescue Renovation, Schlax moved on to work on an HGTV series, Renovation Unscripted, with three-time Emmy Award winner, Heather Tom of the Bold and Beautiful and the series, Funeral Boss for Discovery. She also line produced Game of Pawns for the Discovery Channel and Ride-iculous, Xtreme Water Parks and Guiding Alaska for the Travel Channel. Rescue Renovation, Tiny House, Big Living are among her other non-scripted productions.

Schlax also produced the full-length feature film The Shadow Walkers for Denver based Mostly Films, LLC.  The Shadow Walkers premiered at the AFM and secured distribution through Lions Gate. Her other film credits include Moonlight Soul, Remembering Us, Bed of Dreams, Haunting in San Ignatio. You can find her other credits listed on imdb.com.

Schlax’s other professional experience includes Director of Marketing for PAL Health Technologies and teaching film production management at the University of Colorado, Red Rocks Community College and Colorado Film Video Instructional Studios at the Lowry Campus. She also developed curriculum and program design for the Art Institute of Colorado, creating programs for both classroom application and online courses.  She graduated summa cum laude from Regis University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and marketing.
